The Process

We’ll work together from beginning to end to bring your vision to life.

Phase 1: Consult

Timeline: 1-2 weeks
Investment: 50% deposit

Every commission and custom artwork begins with a consultation. I will send you a questionnaire that will help me understand your vision. This will give both of us a launching point and foundation for the artwork throughout the process. I’ll ask you about what’s inspiring you and what form you want the final artwork to take. Based on your answers, I will send you a quote for the total cost of your project. Once approved and your deposit is paid, I will create Mood Boards that will include the colors, shapes, images, and/or fonts that will be my guide during the production phase.

Phase 2: Produce

Timeline: 1-2 weeks

Once you approve the Mood Boards, I will begin creating rough sketches of your artwork. This phase is about getting ideas on paper and seeing what sticks. You’ll be the Creative Director and Editor - what you love stays, and what you don’t love goes. We’ll decide on a final direction together, then it’s on to refining and creating.

Phase 3: Refine

Timeline: 1-2 weeks

Based on the direction we chose together in Phase 2, I will begin working on your final artwork. We’ll work closely to create the perfect piece. This phase includes two revisions. When you are happy with the artwork, I’ll get started on the deliverables we discussed in Phase 1.

Phase 4: Deliver

Timeline: 2-4 weeks
Investment: Balance (50% of the total cost + additional costs as discussed)

Now that we’ve chosen a design you really love, the final deliverables will be created and/or printed. Original artworks on canvas or paper and art prints typically take 1-2 weeks to produce and ship. Stationery including notecards and greeting cards take 3-4 weeks. When the final invoice is paid, your artwork(s) will be on their way to you.
